My Have Dance Tomorrow?!?!?!

Yesterday, was Macy's last day of her dance session. This was the first class she has done without me......we have done dance, swimming and gymnastics together. A few times a week she would ask, "My have dance tomorrow!!!!" She is always so excited when the answer is yes!!! I think she really likes dance because Kaylee was asked to be a class helper. She takes her job very seriously and wants Macy to do just what the teacher asks.

Macy decided to be shy and dance with her fingers in her mouth for the first song.

Camp Ada

A few weeks ago, Hannah and I went "camping" with her Daisy troop. I say "camping" because it wasn't in a tent in the wilderness. It was at a very nice Girl Scout camp with a bunk with electricity, running water and flush toilets. It was a great experience outdoors with a wonderful group of moms and girls. I am so glad Hannah wanted to do Daisies, and that she got placed with such a great troop.
Once we picked our cots and got settled, we had a sack lunch.

We did geocaching. The girls read clues and found boxes where they left a note for the next group.

Before our Fall camping trip the girls made situpons---notice no quotes on that one...
...for that trip we were in tiny cabins without electricity and you had to walk about 200 yards to the potty.
They made swaps to exchange with other Girls Scouts at different events. Since it was St. Patty's Day one was a rainbow with gold.
Later in the day they painted their nails green, we had tacos for dinner, we went on a hayride and made S'mores over a fire. It was a fun filled day with beautiful weather.

Life is Good when you play outside all day and have one on one time with Hannah!!

PS...Daddy did a great job with the other 3, but was very tired when we got home.

Ballet Buddies

Last night, another 6 week session of dance ended, so parents could watch and take pictures.

This picture shows their personalities so well:
Hannah is loving being in the spotlight and Kaylee is acting a little timid.

Whitney enjoyed the show too!!!

Macy said she was going to have a REALLY BIG smile!!!

They don't have assigned places to stand, but they always choose to be next to one another.

Taco Tuesday

Since we have been writing down our menu each week Tuesday has become TACO TUESDAY!!!! All of us love them and they are so easy to make. Depending on the day, the girls choose soft or hard shell. One thing that never changes is Hannah and Kaylee only want meat, and Macy wants meat and cheese. A couple of times we have used Cilantro Lime Chicken for the meat and not just seasoned beef.
Last night, while Daddy was at work late, Grandma Carol and I took the girls to one of their favorite places..........Taco Bell!!!
They could not get enough tacos...........The papers are all the receipts from getting more.....Hannah even got another one after the picture.

Time Flies!!!

I can't believe Whitney turned 7 months over the weekend!!!

She is VERY interested in what is going on around her!!!
She can sit by herself, but I usually put a pillow behind her still.
If she is laid on her back to she flips to her tummy right away.
She loves to smile and giggle.
Her name plaques are up.........
.......and I LOVE them!!!!

She has started to sleep through the night now so that has been wonderful. With not getting up to eat during the night she is a better eater during the day!!!! For breakfast she has a fruit mixed with cereal, and for dinner a meat mixed with fruit or veggies. Next week we will start a veggie for lunch too.

Life is Good with Whitney Grace around.

Pay It Forward

About once a week the girls get a card from Grandma Carol and Papa Dave with a dollar. They love seeing their names on the envelopes and tear them to pieces!!!
For St. Patty's Day the card had a little extra---$10!!!!!
The timing of the $10 was perfect. We just picked up 3 baskets at church to fill for children staying at shelters, and the suggested amount to spend was $10. My plan was to take the girls to the Dollar Bin at Target and let them pick out 10 things. However, I was there with just Macy and Whitney and decided letting Macy loose in the Dollar Bin would be much calmer than all 3. So we bought all the goodies and I decided to make a store at home for the girls.
Waiting for the goodies to be set out.
Each girl went around and put one thing from each pile in their baskets.

The girls did a really good job filling the baskets and never once got upset that they weren't getting to keep the toys.

Macy thought the purse should be filled.
All done and ready to be delivered to a little friend.

Super School Shows

For 2 Fridays in a row I have been entertained by wonderful programs!!!!
Last Friday, Hannah's class read different Dr. Seuss books and did their own illustrations.
Yesterday, Kaylee was an apple and pickle in the retelling of The Very Hungary Caterpillar.

The girls were very excited for their plays. We are so lucky to have wonderful teachers who put the extra effort in to plan fun activities.

Life is Good when you get to see what you child is doing at school.

And the LUCKY ONE is..............

I know I said I would draw the winner in the morning, but Hannah and I leave to go to Daisy camp so it may be a bit crazy!!!!

It's 5:00 and the LUCK OF THE IRISH was with ................

AMBER GREIMAN!!!!!

Congrats, Amber!
Check back on the Luck of the Irish post and let me know which fabric combo you would like. I will get it done ASAP so if the Easter Bunny should happen to find it sitting around your house it can be placed in a basket!!!

For those of you that didn't have luck on your side, but are interested in a crayon roll..........The Easter Bunny can deliver one to your house for $9. If you order ASAP it can hopefully be there before any long Spring Break trips. Just send me a PM and I can get the sweatshop going and your crayons organized!!!

Cold Lunch is Hot Lunch!!!

When you have 3 little friends that don't like peanut butter and jelly, packing school lunches is a little tough!!!!
Hannah is the easiest(she actually eats hot lunch most days): Juice box, apple sauce and her "Secret Recipe"(a tortilla and pepperonis)
Kaylee---not a sandwich fan most days and needs to take a lunch to school on T,Th and Friday: Juice Box, apple sauce and ????
Macy--needs lunch T and Th: Juice box, apple sauce and a ham sandwich

Extras:
Goldfish, graham crackers, grapes, strawberries, Wheat Thins or yogurt

They have never complained about the boring lunches, but I get bored packing them! Recently, I was given the idea of using a thermos and sending Mac n' Cheese or soup.
I think Hannah could eat a can of chicken noodle soup for every meal she loves it so much!
I wasn't sure if it would stay warm, but the girls gave me a thumbs up when I asked.

The label on Hannah's plastic container is from Mabel's Labels. I bought a pack of their labels before Kindergarten for her and will do the same for Kaylee this summer.

We also tried Mac n' Cheese and I only got 2 thumbs up----Kaylee said it wasn't cheesy enough.....not sure why because I cooked it the same way I always do.

Life is Good when you can change up the routine a bit.

1 Fabric, 5 Looks

I like to call us "the Cute Freak Show" because we get looks and comments when we are out in public. Some of this is my fault because I dress them similarly when they will let me!!! I figure if I am going to make something they need to wear it. Last summer, I fell in love with a teal fabric at Hobby Lobby. I thought it would be fun to use the same fabric and make different patterns for the girls. I personally liked the fabric so much that I made myself a purse too----no I won't use the purse on the same day they have the outfits on..........that would be a little too matchy, matchy even for me!!!!
Look #1
Since I didn't know if we were having a boy or girl last summer, I just made a blanket that could be gifted away if we had a baby brother.

Look #2a
My adjustable strap purse
Look 2b:
This purse is in my Etsy shop

Look 3:
This girl loves a dress and leggings
Look 4:
Spunky Macy needed some ruffles(and an elastic waist since she doesn't like jeans)

Look 5:
Funky Tunic and jeans
for the girl who has a whole lot of personality and will wear whatever her mom picks out
