Something New

We have a few days to play with Grandma and Grandpa before our cousins come to play for the 4th.  I tried my hardest to wear the girls out so they would go to bed early......so I could sew.  Tennis with our friends before the headed home, Target, Taco Bell, beach to play in the sand, pool, bikes in the driveway and a bedtime movie with G and G was what it took!!!!!

Before I left home, I cut out rectangles for A LOT of skirts.

Here's what I got done last night:
Love these soft colors for late Summer and early Fall
 My little helper this morning!!!

This skirt is calling for brown tights/leggings and boots!!!
I think my 4 will be having November birthday pictures and Thanksgiving Dinner in these!!!

These ties on a brown shirt would be perfect for Brother.
 Notice my buddy's fingers?!?!?

Love the idea of Brother/Sister coordinating outfits!!!!

Both skirts are available in size 6-12 months to 7T.
6-12 and 12-18 months:  $25
18-24 months and 2T:  $28
3T to 7T:  $30

Tie shirts are $5 over the cost of the T-shirt

Stay tuned for Halloween skirts and ties...I have the fabric ....just need the time!!!!

Stop 2

On Sunday afternoon, our friends the Griffiths joined us at my parents house.  We had a great few days of boating, relaxing by the pool, cheering on the Twins and riding rides at Mall of America.  We are so glad they were able to meet up with us.....Hope we are able to find a time in Summer 2013 that works to do it all again!!!!

Whitney in her "cage" by the pool

Not the biggest fan of baby food anymore, so it she can hold the spoon herself she will feed herself---or get it all over.....she does a lot of shirtless meals now!!!!
Whitney spent some quality time with Grandma Carol and Papa Dave so we could enjoy a Twins game!!!
The girls loved cheering on #7 and #33...Macy kept asking, "Is that MY guy!!!!!"

Macy quickly lost interest in the game so she opened a salon....I got a haircut, pedicure and leg massage!!!!

It worked out well that we went to M of A on Tuesday(Toddler Tuesday)...Tickets were a lot cheaper and kids eat free at a lot of the restaurants!!!

Whit did a pretty good job watching from her stroller

SNACK TIME!!!!

Follow those striped skirts!!!!

Maybe she will be tall enough for bumper cars next summer!!!!

First Stop

Our Summer 2012 Adventure began bright and early on Thursday morning.
We got the girls out of bed in their jammies and headed west by 6:30am.  For the most part they did really well in the car!!!  The girls watched a few movies and Daddy got A LOT of phone calls done!!!

 This was the best stretch!!!!!
We got in town in time to have a babysitter over so Justin and I could join his parents and his brother at the West Central annual meeting.  The highlight of the night was the chocolate cake and the talk by Johnny Orr.

The next morning the girls were up and ready to go by 7:30 Central Time.
We had a fun morning in Ames with Justin's cousin and 2 of her kids.
Justin's mom was nice/brave enough to keep my girls and niece in the car while I ran into
Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's by myself.
Found this great ISU fabric and made a blanket later that day.

That afternoon, the girls enjoyed some time on the farm.
Macy fed the cats and dogs in her tiara!

Our four-legged friend, Maddie, has been visiting the farm since Memorial Day do we were able to see her....Yes, we will be taking her back in August!!!
Hot Dogs by the fire for dinner.

On Saturday, we headed to Altoona to have lunch with Justin's brother's family.  Then, the boys headed to the Indy race while the moms and kids played.  All the cousins got along really well and we took a trip to the Target Dollar Bin and had pizza for dinner.  As much fun as we had, I think the Daddies may owe us a day without kids---Maybe we will cash in at Okoboji later this summer!!!

Life is Good when you have a fun visit with Grandma Patti and Papa Scott and your cousins.  Next stop.....Minnesota with our friends from Omaha, the Griffiths!!!!

New Favorite Fabric

I have a new favorite fabric pattern!!!!
My sister in-law introduced me to it a few months ago when she bought it and wanted me to make a purse for her.  Since then, I have used it for 4 custom orders:
2 BIG ruffle bags, 1 adjustable strap and matching little girl purse and a double strap purse.

I just finished this set last night and I love it.....May need to make one for myself for the Fall!!!

Magnetic closure and small pocket for keys or cell phone

4 Pockets for Odds and Ends

A Large and Medium Velcro Pouch

I stocked up on this fabric on Monday so if you are interested in something let me know........All of the bag styles and prices are listed on my post called BAG LADY from a few days ago.
