Raw Sugar Photography

On Friday, I got a great surprise----a hand delivery of the prints and CD from our August family photo shoot.  I did a product shoot with Raw Sugar Photography last spring and she was so great that we booked a session for Whitney's first birthday.  I highly recommend her.  She is very calm, doesn't rush you or get frustrated with uncooperative kids(Macy thought a fishy face would be appropriate for a few shots!) and she snaps a variety of planned and surprise shots.

I did a picture like this with Hannah and have done one with each girl since.

We have never done a "smash cake" before, but I love the idea of it.

In the past I have been getting pics for the girls' birthday, so it was every 6 months with May and November birthdays.  Now with an August that throws off my plan---I love family pics, but 3 times a year is a bit much!!!  Now I think I will just do August so it will be Whitney's birthday and when the Bigs start a new school year.

A Weekend of 3!!!

On Thursday, Justin left with "the Littles" for a weekend of farming in Iowa.  I stayed behind with "the Bigs" since they had school.  I was able to volunteer in Hannah's room and eat lunch with both girls that day.  I also got to meet and snuggle with the new baby I will be taking care of next semester.  Addison was so tiny and sweet.......Around here we have been calling her Zilly!  Before the girls got home I moved all my sewing things to the kitchen table so I could sew when I got a few minutes or when they were playing outside.

Friday after walking the girls to school I went on a run ALL BY MYSELF!!!!  It was so nice not to be pushing a double stroller, but I got a little bored not chatting with Macy along the way.  The rest of the day I spent sewing and watching movies----It was great!

That night we headed to the mall for a few things for the girls.............They spent their own money at Claire's and wanted hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works to clip to their backpacks.  We were looking for brown shoes for Hannah, but found teal sparkly ones instead!!!

Saturday was Soccer, a Sleepover and more Sewing for me.

Sunday was the end of the sleepover, Birthday Party and more Sewing for me.

It was a fun weekend with the Bigs and a productive time for sewing.  Just a few more skirts to add to my inventory and I will be ready for the Fishers Christmas in October craft fair on October 13th at the Fishers High School.

What I got done this weekend:
 15 pairs of pants

 10 peasant tops

11 Crayon Rolls

Now all sewing things are back downstairs and the kitchen floor has been vacuumed and steam cleaned.
Life is Good when you get to spend time with the Bigs and by yourself, but can't wait until the Littles and Daddy get back too!!!!

Remembering our Adventures!!!

I have recently started a new collection...................MAGNETS.

For a long time, I would buy a Christmas ornament on different trips we took.  After last year, I realized I can't continue that for very long because our tree was already looking pretty full with mementos from our adventures.  Plus, ornaments can get a bit pricey.

My mom has been a magnet collector since I was young.  Growing up they were on the fridge but now since the collection has grown so big and her fridge doesn't hold magnets she came up with a great idea.........

Magnet boards in her laundry room.

I think it is a perfect place for them----out of the way and not looking cluttered on the fridge, but I get to see them on daily--sometimes more--basis!!!

I decided to start my collection this summer on our cruise to Canada.

Right now there is plenty of room, but once one gets filled I will just add another.

Life is Good when you have a cheap, fun way to remember the past.

13 Months

Our go with the flow baby is 13 months old.
Not sure how many little ones could handle 3 big sister mommies, hours at the soccer field and gymnastics gym and rarely getting a full nap in their crib, but Whitney does and she seems to love ALMOST every minute of it!!!!!

When she is cranky a sister will build her a tower to knock down and she forgets why she was mad.

She loves when she finds the pantry, stair gate, cabinet locks or bathroom door left open.

Wishes she could always follow the Bigs up or down the stairs.

She loves her food pouches---wish I had used these for the other girls.
She gobbles them up and gets fruits and veggies.
When it is empty it becomes a toy!!!!

Wouldn't classify her as a walker yet......more of a "stepper."  She gives you that look like---why would I walk if I can crawl there twice as fast?!?!?!

Life is Good when you are 13 months old.

A Day with Kay

Now that Kaylee is in Kindergarten all day, I don't get to see her very much........Since the weather has been so nice, the girls head outside right away to play with their friends after school.  They also have soccer and gymnastics each week.
Yesterday, I got to spend a lot of one-on-one time with Kay.  She had a 9:00 soccer game and the other girls weren't ready to go when we needed to head out to the field, so Justin stayed back with them.  She has been enjoying soccer and is much more active than last Fall......She is actually part of the action and not watching from 10 feet away!!!

She was also my running passenger in the afternoon.  We ran to Hannah's game and met up with Justin and the other girls.  She was very chatty the whole way.....Apparently, she is the loudest snapper in her whole class and really does like rest time!!!.......She also sang songs and did a little dancing in the stroller.  At first, I thought the single stroller with an almost 6 year old seemed much easier to push than a double with a 3 and 1 year old..........but really they both stink!

The registration for Girl Scouts was yesterday, and after talking with Kaylee A LOT about how fun it would be, she decided she would try it.  I think she is really going to like the small group and activities a Daisy Troop will provide.

After an afternoon of playing outside, the 3 Bigs headed out on a Daddy Daughter Date Night.
I think the outfits the girls picked out fit their personalities perfectly:
Kaylee---girly
Hannah--Tomboy
Macy-- A little bit of everything

The girls and Justin had a great time at dinner and Best Buy---2 Barbie movies and a speaker for Hannah's hand me down iPod came home with them.  Whitney and I had a wild and crazy night of finishing the movie Hope Floats and taking some of the summer things out of the girls' closets.

"REAL" Preschool

Macy starts "REAL" Preschool today!!!  For the past 2 years she has done a Child's Day Out program, but today is her first day of preschool.  She also likes to tell people next year she will be in Pre-K and then Kindergarten.  This morning at the bus stop the girls were excited that in 2 years Hannah will be in 4th, Kaylee in 2nd and Macy will get to ride the bus with them since she will be in Kindergarten.

She is in the Awesome Owls class so we had to wear our owl top today!!!

Few more years for this one!!!

She did not want her picture taken with her backpack---it just happens to be owls too---bough way before we found out her class!!!

Besides the few seconds of crankies for the backpack picture she has been really excited about today and can't wait for all the fun at school.
