Happy Father's Day

We had a fun Father's Day out on the lake today.....The only thing missing was our Daddy---he is still in Asia for 2 more weeks!

We were with Papa Dave to celebrate......
We did something both Daddy and Papa love to do.....BOATING!!!!
It was a perfect day---Sunny and COOL---a nice break from the hot Malaysia weather we have had for 6 months.

Macy decided watching her crazy sisters from the boat would be more fun.

When she fell in she said it was cold, but not too cold to not jump in again!!!!

 Driving ALL by herself!!!
Life is Good with fun days on the lake.

Tacos, Target and Tired Little Girls

After biking yesterday the girls went down to play pool with my mom.  Whitney wandered up and passed out...........She stayed like this MOST of the day.

She didn't wake up when I got her dressed, while we ate at Taco Bell or shopped at Target.

I really appreciate her sleeping at Target because I was able to focus on the wide variety of products at my fingertips.  I hadn't planned to get too many things off my list to take back to Malaysia, but I couldn't help myself.  Seeing the brands I wanted at a regular price was to over powering.  It was almost like things were jumping into my cart!  The 3 Bigs got "REAL" digital cameras from Grandma and Grandpa for their birthdays....Hannah's was in May and Macy and Kaylee got theirs early for their November birthdays.  They were not interested in the quality of the camera or price....They picked based on color and style!

Whitney did open her eyes while she sat on my lap to get a haircut.  However, "the lights were on, but no one was  home" the entire time!

We finished the shopping trip with a much anticipated stop at Claire's.....The girls were in make up heaven!!!!!

Whitney fell alseep again back in the car about 2:00, and was off and on napping all afternoon while watching TV with the girls.
By 4:00, Hannah was the only kid awake, and she was in TV world...
.At 6:00 all 5 of us were napping.
I woke up at 9:00 and ate dinner.
I put Macy upstairs and Hannah walked up to bed.
Kaylee and Whitney woke up and stayed with Grandma for a few hours while I went to bed.
Macy woke me at 3:30 to say she wanted to get up and eat.  She had a cheese stick and went back to bed.
Whitney was up at 5:30 and is still up.
I have yet to see the 3 Bigs and it is 7:14am.
I really hope if they have slept this long that means that today they will be able to get through the day without a long nap and get back on a regular Central Time Zone schedule!!!!

Life is Good, but a little mixed up when you fly halfway around the world!!!!

Biking Babes

What do you do with 4 little girls at 6:30 am on your first day back in the states?!?!?!  Go ride bikes in the driveway!!!!
(Missing a shirt due to a mishap with the Trix yogurt this morning!!!!)

The Bigs both decided to try bigger bikes than they tried last summer.
At first Macy went to her old bike, but quickly decided to bump up since she didn't want the training wheels!!!!

Kaylee's bike from last summer is the perfect fit!!!

Trying out Macy's bike from last year...Maybe by the end of the summer she can make it move!!!!

These Malaysian girls thought it was SOOOO cold this morning!!!!

A better fit!!!!

Life is Good with Biking---especially when it is cool enough I can sit on the front step with a cup of coffee and LIQUID (can only find the powder in KL)Coffeemate creamer!!!!

26 Hours of Travel and Back in the US

Mary's stay in Malaysia was one day longer than planned.  We were to fly out on Wednesday night, but  on Tuesday night Justin got a message saying our flight had been canceled because of a union strike in Paris.  He spent A LOT of time on the phone trying to rebook everything, but he did it!!!  So we had an extra day of pool, playing and going to the movie Epic.
Thursday at 7:15pm we headed to the airport.  Justin helped us check in our 9 bags(8 for us, 1 for Mary) and then sent us on our way...........

At 10:40 PM we were on our way.......
We had 5 tickets in business and 1 in economy for Mary.  The plan was to just have her come up and use Whitney's seat.  Luckily, there were a few empty seats so we had a full row with 6 seats.  Shortly after take off, it was just Whit and I awake...she napped in the car and wasn't quite ready for bed.  After food service, she went to bed and slept for a majority of the 13 hour flight.
Everyone slept well and had the bedhead to show for it:

Decorating herself kept her busy for a bit........
Movies at her fingertips for 13 hours.......AWESOME!!!!!
Kaylee was a huge help to keep Whitney quiet and entertained!!!
Right from the plane in Paris, we had to board a bus to get to the terminal.  When we got off, I asked about the strollers I had checked at the gate.  I was told I would need to go to baggage claim to collect them......This wasn't going to happen since I didn't know where that was, we still needed to get our tickets for the connection, go through security, go potty, get a snack and maybe even shower!
 So..............we left the strollers behind.
Leaving them wasn't too bad since the Graco was broken and the umbrella one was just a cheap Wal-Mart stroller.  However, now all 4 kid had to walk...or be carried....and we had 4 rolling backpacks for them, a bag for me, Mary, snacks and iPads.
After a LONG visit at the ticket counter(they could only find 3 of our names at first), a few shuttle rides and a bit of walking we got to gate M27.  We opted not to shower, but just brush our teeth and change clothes!  The 5 hour layover went by pretty quickly and we were ready to finish our journey with a 9 hour flight.
The flight to Minneapolis boarded on time, but once we got on they needed to put air in the tires so we waited about an hour.  Shortly after take off, Whitney napped.  The girls did really well and took turns napping.  With about 3 hours left, I was counting down the mintues until we touched down.....Many people in our area were sleeping--including 2 of my girls and I think Kaylee wanted to be---Whitney was still up and not to excited about sitting on my lap.  I kept sending her up to Kaylee so I could shut my eyes for a few minutes.  With about and hour and a half left, we finally all fell asleep............Next thing I remember, they asked us to put our seats up and I had to wake up all the girls.
We had an uneventful time in customs and baggage claim!!!!!
At this point, Mary went to catch her flight and we exited to find Grandma Carol, Grandma Patti, Aunt Ellen and Cousin Morgan.....What a great welcome home crew!!!!!  Everyone came back to my parents to swim and have dinner.
Our guests headed south after dinner and I headed to bed.  At 8:15, I turned over responsibility to my parents.  Hannah was asleep on the couch and everyone else was in jammies.  It took about 1 minute to fall alseep.  At 11:47, Whitney woke up and I thought this was going to be very long night!!!  She went back to sleep with me and got up about 4:45am.

This was the scene at 5:15 this morning:
Lucky Charms!!!!!  Not sure who had more---them or me!!!!!

Hoping for a mid morning nap and then haircuts for the girls.

Then, the first trip of the summer to TARGET!!!!!

The girls did a really great job with all the hours we spent in the air, walking through airports and standing in lines with bags.  However, I am glad we have 6 weeks of summer before we need to do it again.  On the way home we will also split the trip up with a few days in Paris between flights.

Life is Good when traveling with 4 little ones goes smoothly!!!!

1st Day of Summer

Today was the first whole day of summer vacation for the girls.
It started with a trip to the wet market---not for me, I slept in.  Justin and Mary took Kaylee, Macy and their friend that spent the night.

Then, it was time for some FUN IN THE SUN!!!!

The girls are LOVING having Mary here!!!!!

After lunch, we headed to the KLCC mall and a birthday party.

We had pizzas on the grill for dinner(I will post about them soon---YUMMY!!!) and are doing a sleepover swap----We traded Hannah for another 6 year old friend.  Over dinner, Mary and Justin discussed which teachers were still at Boone High School and  how life in Boone has changed over the years.

Life is Good with Busy Days.

Summer is Here!!!!

Today was the last day of school for all of the girls.   It always feels like summer here, but at 11:30 it will officially by Summer Vacation!!!!
It is crazy to think back how they started in Fishers, Indiana and ended half way around the world in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!!!

Next year, all 3 Bigs will be wearing the blue uniforms and attending ISKL.....Macy is very excited to get to ride the bus with the girls and maybe see them during the day.

The girls have been anticipating the last day of school, but even more they were waiting for the day when Mary Heiller would come.  She is a friend from the states that is going to hang out for a few days and then help me travel back with the girls.
Before bed, they played a few games and the girls have big plans for makeovers tonight.
Life is Good when Summer Vacation Arrives!!!
