Sewing Again!

While the BIGS have been off at school, I have been busy sewing.
I brought quite a bit of fabric back with me and I can't wait to turn it all into something pretty.

These shown are all size 3, but I plan to make each color combo in size 6-12 months up to size 7.
Some of the dresses are paired with super cute bows.....My neighbor and I want to add our craftiness together and participate in some craft fairs in Malaysia.

I would also like to make this style of skirt in each color combo......
I don't think my fabric stash will last too long.  Thankfully, Justin is headed back to the US in November and can stock up for me!!!!

Macy's First Day at ISKL

Macy had her first day of school with the BIG girls!!!!  She has been really excited about the whole idea of it.....the bus, the uniform, seeing her sisters during the day, etc.

Whitney wanted part of the first day pic---Her first day of preschool isn't until September.

I think I would have cried if she didn't want to ride in the stroller this morning!!!
On the way to the bus, we ran into our crafty friend, Carmen, and she did a quick hair accessory swap!!!!
Right about here is where the tears came.  It was time to get on the van---my girls are on the overflow van instead of the big city bus that comes to the neighborhood.
Once she was seated with the BIGS she was A-OK!

A few of her favorites:
Movie:  Barbie and the Pink Shoe
TV Show:  Doc McStuffins
Thing to do at school:  Play with babies and color
Thing to do after school:  Swim and play with friends
Color:  Pink and Purple and Blue and Turquoise
Food for breakfast:  Toast with Nutella
Food for lunch:  Ham
Food for dinner:  Pasta
Food for snack:  Crackers
Restaurant:  Suzie's Corner--Another Malaysian favorite
What she wants to be when she grows up: "A mom and a hair doer.......... and I want to be a nail girl, a vet and a hair girl."

She said she had a great day, but cried a little waiting for the bus after school.  I guess they had to wait a long time---not sure what a long time really is coming from a 4 year old.  We had lunch with her buddy to celebrate a successful first day.

Home Sweet Home

We returned to Malaysia at 6 am on Friday.  By 9 that morning, they were bored and wanted to play with friends.  We had a few early bedtimes and early wake ups to get over the time difference.  The first day, Whitney took a 12 hour nap and was up from midnight to 3am....We watched Magic Mike together--hope she doesn't remember any of it!!!!
Now that it is Tuesday, we are finally over jet lag and the Bigs got to the bus stop on time for their first day of school!  All duffle bags have been unpacked and I am getting back into the real life mode.

So, here is a post about our flights back........

The day we left, we had a fun morning of boating and lunch with all the grandparents.
Our first flight to Paris was about 9 hours and uneventful.....The girls slept, watched TV and played.

Luckily, we didn't loose strollers again on our layover in Paris.  However, they did want to check almost all of our carryon at security and I was not very friendly about it!

The second flight was about 13 hours and the girls did more eating, sleeping and playing.....

I wish Whitney had been into the TV this much the whole flight.  She was like this for about 20 minutes.  Maybe next summer she will be more into the idea of TV like her big sisters!
Life is Good when flights go smoothly.

34 Candles

Had a great day turning 34 today!
Started the morning off with coffee and playing a new game the girls gave me.

Having all 4 girls excited about playing the game was great,
but the breakfast of cake was the highlight of the morning!!!
The girls insisted on putting 34 candles on the cake.
We met some college friends for lunch on the lake and then headed out on the boat.
The girls really wanted Uncle Dustin to tube with them so he of course said yes!!!
Whitney napped through 95% off the boat trip.......
Maybe next year she will get in on this craziness.........

Not sure what happened to turn Macy's smile into......
 .......THIS!!!!!
 So we stopped,
and went fast with the BIGS!!!

While Justin and I were in Wisconsin Dells last week we went to a ski show.  Maybe next year we will start a tubing show on Lake Minnetonka!

After tubing, the girls asked Dustin to wake board and of course he couldn't say no.

 Daddy tried too....

In our original plan for the summer, we were to head back to KL tomorrow.  We were going to stop for a few day in Paris half way through the journey back to Malaysia.

On Thursday, Justin's grandpa passed away so our plans have changed a bit.  Tomorrow, we head back to Boone to celebrate his life and fly out on Wednesday.  A death of family member is always hard, so I am glad we will be able to spend the next few days with his family.  Justin spent a lot of time with his grandparents growing up since they lived just down the road.  He has many great memories of him and learned a lot about farming and family from him.

Life is Good--

gave me the same notepads with these words on them today as a gift!!!)
