Wonderful Weekend
This weekend was a great example of what a weekend really should be:
--Mom and Dad got time with friends to go out for dinner and to the comedy club.
--The family went to cheer on Hannah at a soccer game.----She scored a goal!!!!!
--The girls got to go outside and play on the swingset and run around with their friends.
--The family went out with another family to eat and to see the Omaha Beef play indoor football.
--All the laundry got done AND put away.
--The pantry got restocked.
--The prep work for staining the deck got done..............it started to look like rain so no stain got put on!!!!
--Mom got to sew while Dad took the girls to church..............In a perfect world, I would have gone too, but I wanted to get some things done. Here's what I worked on this weekend:

I've recently been checking out the blogs of different "friends" on Facebook. After reading a few I started thinking WHY would you write a blog and WHO actually reads them?!?!?!?!? Well, a few hours later I decided people like me(college educuated, thirty years old, wife, mother, etc.) read them. I have decided that you write a blog for a few reasons..................
1. To let everyone know what is going on with you and your family through stories and pictures
2. To share funny stories to entertain the people reading
3. Give tips to people to "better" their lives
4. Sell something
5. Your mind and fingers take over you body and you can't control what is being typed
This blog will probably contain all 5 at some point, but we will start with #4.
One of the benefits of having three girls(Hannah--almost 5, Kaylee 3 and Macy 18 months) is dressing them up in cute clothes. A friend of mine was making adorable homemade clothes for them, and I got the idea that maybe I could do it myself. To my shock and I think everyone else I could!!!! Once I started, I couldn't stop because there are so many cute fabrics and patterns out there. Their closest are FILLED with matching outfits, and I am getting a little bored with always making 3 of the same thing. I decided I would try to sell things to people I know to get a little variety in what I was making and to get a little alone time since I would be "working." I love my girls and husband, but sometimes a stay at home mom just wants to go to the basement with her Diet Coke and spend a few hours with the sewing machine.
This is how "Sew Sassy Sweetpeas" started. Below you will find a few pictures of what I have for sale and the prices. I will be adding new patterns as I find ones I like. In the next few days I will be adding fabric swatches to choose from or you can just let me know some colors you like. If you like what you see.................. you can order by e-mailing me:
