Ice Cream and Cinnamon Rolls

After 2 nights in Boone, we headed to North Platte, NE on Monday morning.
The drive went pretty well with the girls and they were excited to see our cousins again.

Tuesday morning, Hannah and Ryan made breakfast....
Hannah dipped large marshmallows in butter,
and then rolled them in a bowl with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Next step, Ryan wrapped them in a crescent roll.
Then, they sprinkled cinnamon on the top and put them in an oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Life is Good with a yummy breakfast that kids can make!

Summer Softball 2013

We had our annual Weigel/Chesnut softball game last Sunday.  This year we drew numbers so the teams were not based on last name.  All kids on the team get to bat first and then we play for 3 outs.  Before too long, I think the kids may be better than the adults!

Watching her run the bases made me excited to see her in future track and cross country meets!
Kaylee took her spot in the field very seriously.
 Whitney wanted a turn too....
She ran so fast her hat came off!
Macy helped a little sister out to first base!

 Safe at first!!!!
The tree house was a big hit!!!
 So was the parachute!!!

Whitney wanted no part of getting in the hula hoop with all the other kids!

Last of the Lake

Both of Justin's brothers needed to leave on Thursday, but we stayed until Saturday with his parents.

Whitney is a real boating baby!!!
She fell asleep before lunch and slept through the whole meal at The Ritz...wonder how many other people have "slept" by this sign?!?!?!

No we didn't have Whitney go with the girls....Just wanted a picture of all 4 on the tube, but clearly she wasn't too into that idea!

She would rather sit with Papa than tube!!!
Not to be outdone by Grandpa skiing 4 wide the other day(will post on that soon), Grandma went tubing with the girls......
 She even did no hands!!!!

I tried to talk Macy into going and sitting on Grandma's back, but she didn't think that was a good idea!!!

 The girls went skiing again....
.This U shaped ski now seems too easy for them, so we bought separated skis we will try next season.
Other than a little wind the last couple of days, we had great weather.
Life is Good with fun family vacations!

Fishing Fun

Kay caught the first fish and wanted no part in touching it!!!!
After fishing the kids went to Kids Kamp......They loved it and having just 2 babies for 2 hours was nice.  They liked it so much, they wanted to go back again and again and again.  The program ran from 10-12 and 1-3 each day.  Everyday had a different theme and they did games and crafts.

After lunch it was back to the boat!!!

No trip to Okoboji is complete until we have ice cream at Arnold's Park....I think next year, all the kids will be old enough to do the rides.
July is the month all 3 brothers have their anniversary so we have been going out to dinner each year without kids to celebrate.  We always go to Tweeter's(even though it is an Iowa hang out and not ISU).

Fun in the Sun--Day 2

Crescent BEACH has a beach to play at!!!

Whitney is still not a fan of sand!

The huge trampoline and slide was a big hit with the girls.
