Macy's First Day at ISKL

Macy had her first day of school with the BIG girls!!!!  She has been really excited about the whole idea of it.....the bus, the uniform, seeing her sisters during the day, etc.

Whitney wanted part of the first day pic---Her first day of preschool isn't until September.

I think I would have cried if she didn't want to ride in the stroller this morning!!!
On the way to the bus, we ran into our crafty friend, Carmen, and she did a quick hair accessory swap!!!!
Right about here is where the tears came.  It was time to get on the van---my girls are on the overflow van instead of the big city bus that comes to the neighborhood.
Once she was seated with the BIGS she was A-OK!

A few of her favorites:
Movie:  Barbie and the Pink Shoe
TV Show:  Doc McStuffins
Thing to do at school:  Play with babies and color
Thing to do after school:  Swim and play with friends
Color:  Pink and Purple and Blue and Turquoise
Food for breakfast:  Toast with Nutella
Food for lunch:  Ham
Food for dinner:  Pasta
Food for snack:  Crackers
Restaurant:  Suzie's Corner--Another Malaysian favorite
What she wants to be when she grows up: "A mom and a hair doer.......... and I want to be a nail girl, a vet and a hair girl."

She said she had a great day, but cried a little waiting for the bus after school.  I guess they had to wait a long time---not sure what a long time really is coming from a 4 year old.  We had lunch with her buddy to celebrate a successful first day.

Life is Good going to school with your sisters!

Home Sweet Home

We returned to Malaysia at 6 am on Friday.  By 9 that morning, they were bored and wanted to play with friends.  We had a few early bedtimes and early wake ups to get over the time difference.  The first day, Whitney took a 12 hour nap and was up from midnight to 3am....We watched Magic Mike together--hope she doesn't remember any of it!!!!
Now that it is Tuesday, we are finally over jet lag and the Bigs got to the bus stop on time for their first day of school!  All duffle bags have been unpacked and I am getting back into the real life mode.

So, here is a post about our flights back........

The day we left, we had a fun morning of boating and lunch with all the grandparents.
Our first flight to Paris was about 9 hours and uneventful.....The girls slept, watched TV and played.

Luckily, we didn't loose strollers again on our layover in Paris.  However, they did want to check almost all of our carryon at security and I was not very friendly about it!

The second flight was about 13 hours and the girls did more eating, sleeping and playing.....

I wish Whitney had been into the TV this much the whole flight.  She was like this for about 20 minutes.  Maybe next summer she will be more into the idea of TV like her big sisters!
Life is Good when flights go smoothly.

34 Candles

Had a great day turning 34 today!
Started the morning off with coffee and playing a new game the girls gave me.

Having all 4 girls excited about playing the game was great,
but the breakfast of cake was the highlight of the morning!!!
The girls insisted on putting 34 candles on the cake.
We met some college friends for lunch on the lake and then headed out on the boat.
The girls really wanted Uncle Dustin to tube with them so he of course said yes!!!
Whitney napped through 95% off the boat trip.......
Maybe next year she will get in on this craziness.........

Not sure what happened to turn Macy's smile into......
 .......THIS!!!!!
 So we stopped,
and went fast with the BIGS!!!

While Justin and I were in Wisconsin Dells last week we went to a ski show.  Maybe next year we will start a tubing show on Lake Minnetonka!

After tubing, the girls asked Dustin to wake board and of course he couldn't say no.

 Daddy tried too....

In our original plan for the summer, we were to head back to KL tomorrow.  We were going to stop for a few day in Paris half way through the journey back to Malaysia.

On Thursday, Justin's grandpa passed away so our plans have changed a bit.  Tomorrow, we head back to Boone to celebrate his life and fly out on Wednesday.  A death of family member is always hard, so I am glad we will be able to spend the next few days with his family.  Justin spent a lot of time with his grandparents growing up since they lived just down the road.  He has many great memories of him and learned a lot about farming and family from him.

Life is Good--
--(Both Justin and the girls and my parents
gave me the same notepads with these words on them today as a gift!!!)

Fun on the Farm

I forgot to take pics for most of our Indy trip...........We had a great few days catching up with friends---it was almost like we hadn't missed 6 months!!!!

However, I remembered while we were out on the farm with our friends the Hills.

Everyone loves sidewalk paint!!!
In the morning, we went over to their grandparents' place to see the horses,
and Hannah could hardly wait to ride in the afternoon.
Mr. Dan was kind enough to get everything ready and lead each of the kids on a ride.

Whitney preferred a wagon ride from her new little buddy, their cute cousin!

Nate was a real expert on the horse!!!

I wasn't sure how Macy would do, but she was comfortable enough to ride with no hands for a bit!!

We ended the night with S'mores..
..These crazy cats thought wearing tights was hilarious!!!
Life is Good with fun days with friends on the farm!

Meeting a New Friend

On Monday, we got to do something we have been wanting to do since March...Meet Baby Clea!!!!  One of our very favorite people had a baby while we were away, and we needed to wait for our trip to Indy to meet her.  We did see her on Skype once, but seeing/holding her in person was much better!!!!!

Kaylee has always been a baby lover, but Macy surprised me in how much she wanted to hold Clea.

Clea was very patient while we tried to get a good picture of the 5 of them.

Once Hannah had her pic taken she was done loving on the baby.
The other 3 girls spent quite a long time taking turns holding her.
Whitney may have a new BFF!!!!
Life is Good when you get to spend the day with a new baby---and her Mommy!!!!
