A trip to KL( a city that is mostly Muslim) isn't complete without a stop at the National Mosque.
Females need to be covered, but my dad did also since he was wearing shorts.
The National Mosque does not have a museum feel at all....There aren't any Islamic artifacts and there is only one small board giving some written information about the history of the religion. However, it was impressive to see how large it is and to imagine it full of people during Friday prayer.
At this visit, we had a volunteer giving us some information so that was really helpful. He explained how people fill the space, the art, and a bit about the history and Mecca.
Life is Good when you can add to your knowledge of local customs.
