6am morning drive means a 5:30 wake up call, but the girls still had smiles!
They thought the vultures may mean that a animal was out in the bush, so our tracker, Michael went to check it out....brave man!!! He wasn't able to find anything because we got a call that there was something exciting close by.
On the way, we came across a black backed jackal.
The big surprise was this guy.......#3 of the BIG 5 sightings.
I was hoping he would start chasing the impala for a morning snack, but he didn't seem hungry. Just out for a nice morning walk........
......to find a nice shady spot for a rest.
A break for coffee and hot chocolate.
Running like wild animals in the wild of Africa!!!!
On the way back to the lodge.....more rhinos.
While the girls did an activity at the lodge, the adults went down to the river for a bush walk to see if we could spot hippos.
We spotted a few giraffes on the way.
There were quite a few just hanging out in the water.
The warthogs greeted us again when we returned.
Life is Good with a morning of rhinos, a lion, hippos and giraffes.
