VIP Visitors

My parents arrived on Friday night!!!!  We have been so excited to have them visit.  The girls wanted to go to the airport to pick them up, but it would have been a very late night.  They were anxious to wake them on Saturday morning.
Along with many hugs, they came with a few bags of goodies from the US......

I sent a list to my mom of things we needed to restock the pantry.(She didn't bring ALL of this)
She brought buffalo sauce, character mac and cheese for Kaylee, Tastefully Simple corn and black bean salsa. Kool-Aid, taco seasoning, chicken soup, Hamburger Helper, Hot Tomales and a few other things too.

The best things she brought were the things she brought me from my Grandma.

I put them in my sewing area, so I can see them frequently...
..She also brought YARDS of fun polka dots and chevron!!!!
We started our first day off by driving by the girls' school and stopping to see the monkeys.  Since the man wasn't there feeding the monkeys we didn't see many.  We hope to go back again while they are here so the girls can show G and G how they are brave enough to feed them!

We went to lunch at a place where you pick your ingredients and make your own soup in the hot broth.  We weren't too adventurous and ended up with chicken, beef, green onion and mushrooms.

Hannah is our biggest soup fan ...I think she would eat if for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The afternoon was spent swimming and hanging by the pool.  Macy wanted to show G and G how she swims by herself, so she finally was daring enough to go across on her own..
(See the Macy the Mermaid post for the video.)

For dinner.....(you will notice we have planned most of their stay here around fun places to eat), we went to Suzi's Corner.

It isn't far from our house and you can get a variety of foods from different vendors.  What is nice, is that they come to your table with menus and take your order.

The hot naan bread was a favorite...to watch and eat!!!!

While waiting for our food, we bought a few movies from the guy bringing by his bin of 100s he is selling. The first time we went we bought a few and they are really good quality.
The girls have enjoyed Wreck It Ralph and a Barbie movie already.  I hope to watch the Oscar nominated films I got one of these days!!!!

Dinner Time!!!!!!
I am not a huge steak fan, but I love this $11 meal on the hot cow shaped plate!!!!....Justin being the cattle guy that he is, likes the meat too!!!
We ended the night with a few stories and coloring.

It was a great first day and we couldn't be happier to have our guests here.  One more day of fun in Malaysia, and then we are headed for a "holiday" in Thailand!!!!

Life is Good with Guests
