Getting Ready!!!

I had my 24 week appt. this week and both the baby and I are growing and doing well. The doctor mentioned my weight was up a bit this month. Guess taking two cruises this month and enjoying numerous huge meals and afternoon ice cream cones took its toll!!!!

I brought Macy with me and she was a hit with the other patients and all the staff!!! She loved listening to the heartrate(150) and was really trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. All 3 girls have been asking to see the baby and give it kisses. Hannah still surprises me with how much interest she is taking in the baby. She would like a little brother, Kaylee wants a sister and Macy still says "baby boys hideous" when we ask her what is in my tummy!!!!

A few Fridays ago when Kay and I were running errands she wanted to get some baby clothes. I told her we had a lot for a girl, so maybe we should buy something for a boy. She loved going through all the blue and decided on these 3 outfits.
She thought we needed more, but I assured her that if it is a boy Grandma Carol would take her to get some more before the baby came home from the hospital!!!!

We took our monthly trip to Costco the night of my appt. so I had baby on the mind................so these got added to the cart!!!
Our plan it to have Kaylee and Macy share a room with bunk beds and the baby will take Macy's room. If it is a boy, we may just take away the C and Y to add an X for Max. He's going to need to be ok with girly things having 3 older sisters, so having a purple room shouldn't be a big deal.........Right?!?!?!?!

However, it will probably be a girl and we won't have to change a thing. I had some pink fabric left over from our Handprint Tree project and decided to make myself a new diaper bag with an adjustable strap. I recently made my favorite bag pattern for someone with the addition of the adjustable strap and loved it!

Operation "Broken Nana"

I had been dreading April 11th for a long time. It was the day we would get back from Spring Break and the day all of Macy's pacifiers(aka Nanas) were going to break. I mentioned it to her a few times beforehand and everytime there were tears and a tantrum. She loves her Nana and has it in her mouth the majority of the time. I decided not to have them break as soon as she got up that morning because I had to get 2 sisters ready for school and didn't think we would make it out the door with all the drama. When it was just the two of us, we found broken Nana #1. She wasn't too thrilled, so we went on a hunt for another one. We found #2 in my purse and #3 in the car. Still no tears which made me pleasantly surprised. "Macy, I guess all your Nanas are broken......Bummer.....You don't need them since you are a big girl!" "Yeah, Bummer!" This was 10:30 on Monday morning, and she hasn't mentioned wanting one since. When she is asked what happened to her Nanas, she laughs and says they all broke! I guess I should have taken them away a little sooner!!!! Monday she had a rough time going to bed. The rest of the week we have been having family American Idol viewing parties in my bed. She and Kaylee having been falling asleep like little piglets!

Next on the list of things to do before baby comes...............potty training. She loves the process of using the potty, but we aren't too consistant!

Life is Good--even without a Nana in your mouth!!!

6 Years?!?!?!

May 25th is just around the corner and no one is more excited than Hannah!!!! She loves birthdays....especially her own!!!! She asks daily to make a paper chain for the big day, but I am trying to hold off. I am in denial that my first baby is going to be 6. 6 seems so much older than 5---I guess maybe it is the fact that she will now need two hands to count how old she is. I also can't believe she is almost done with Kindergarten. I just preordered her 1st grade supplies and there were tears in my eyes as I hit the process order button. Our little red head loves life and has so many different things she enjoys. I wish I had her no fear attitude for new situations and ability to meet new people. She can be a bit of a stinker, but she brings more smiles to my face than frowns!!!!
