Dress Up

The other night when the Middles were feeling left out about not going to the F/D Dance, I told them we could get my wedding dress out and they could try it on....................Some of you may be gasping and thinking why would she do that?!?!?!?! After the wedding, almost 10 years ago, I had the dress cleaned and preserved. However, a few years ago I had a MOMS Club party with a wedding theme so I took it out.......and had a fabulous evening wearing it and hanging out with great ladies!! So I figured a fashion show would be a great time to bring the dress out for the third time in 10 years!!!!

Hannah went first

A glimpse into the future......Each girl may need to have 3 Maids of Honor!!!
Macy is not adjusting something for Hannah, she thought the dress would be a great parachute!!!!

Kay's turn

She told me I must have been longer when I wore it---Had to explain the train to her. She also told me I was bigger than since we had to use clips on it to fit her. ACTUALLY, I did try it on and it fit just fine and zipped all the way up.

Life is Good when you can play dress up!!!

Fauder/Hauder Dance

Hannah's Daisy Father/Daughter Dance(or Fauder/Hauder as Macy was calling it) was last night. There was a lot of excitement around here for the event. During the day, all the girls were asking about when the dance was.
The Daisies and their Dads were meeting at the Olive Garden at 4:30, so showers started at 3:30.

One of the other moms made these great corsages.

We thought the light and background would be better outside..........I was hoping no one would see us since I was still in my jammies at 4:15!!!

At this point, Macy was still really happy because she still thought she was going!!!!

Kay still had jammies on too!!!!!

Whit was just happy jumping!!!!

There were a few tears by Macy when they left, but then we started to get ready to meet the Moms and Brothers at a Mexican restaurant. After dinner, we went back to a friend's house. The girls loved playing with the boy toys, and I enjoyed an evening of chatting with fun mommies!

Everyone had a great night, we even had an after hours dance party in the kitchen with the Cha Cha Slide and Chicken Dance!!!!

Life is Good with Fauder/Hauder events-----We will have a lot of them in our future!!!

6 Hands, 4 Girls

My parents have been here all week and it has been GREAT!!! 4 extra hands while Justin is out of town is wonderful!!! While they were here we went to the doctor for Whitney's ear infection, 2 dance classes, 3 karate classes, ran errands---Target, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's, I got to sew while the girls played and did puzzles, went out to dinner with my aunt and uncle and had A LOT of Wii dance parties!!!!

Every night either before or after bath the girls would play Mario Brothers
and challenge Papa to a dance off!!!!

Grandma was nice enough to watch Whitney while I did some sewing in the next room. I laughed out loud a few times just listening to them!!!!
Macy decided naked dog riding was more fun than the Wii!!!!
WIPEOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, I thought it would be fun to end the night with a PJ party in my room!

We popped some popcorn, washed a few grapes, filled water bottles and got the Chesnut girls and American Girls tucked in for bed.
Hannah and Haylee

Kaylee and Kamden

Macy and Alisha

I used Whitney's old receiving blanket to make the pillows, sleeping bags and AG pj pants. My next project will be jammie shorts for the girls for the summer..........However, I think Macy is ready for short jammies now since she usually just sleeps in a pull up. After bath she always puts pjs on, but they come of after about 5 minutes.

The PJ Party was a success...........

The girls enjoyed a little Nick Jr. (so glad they like that channel now because I think if I had to watch another rerun of Wizards of Waverly Place or any other Disney show I would loose it!!!!)

I enjoyed a few chapters of Catching Fire(the 2nd Hunger Games book)

Gma and Papa enjoyed a few quiet minutes with their iPads!!!!!

Life is Good when you have extra help!!!!

Thanks for coming Gma and Papa and remember our fun and crazy week when you sit down for a quiet meal and get to sleep in over the weekend!!!!!
See you in March when get to watch all 4 by yourself!!!!

Weekend Away

On Friday morning, our paper chain was done------time to meet Justin's family at a water park in Illinois!!!!
The girls had been excited for weeks to see their cousins and swim. They helped me pack their bags and pick out their swimsuits.............they picked out cute suits, but some how Macy ended up with no jammies!!!!!!
Whitney liked sitting in the baby pool and splashing
Macy was all about the slides
Macy, Kaylee and Morgan enjoyed the yellow slide many, many times!!!!
Kaylee was excited that the water wasn't too deep so she didn't need to wear floaties!
Macy loved playing/helping Morgan in the water and back at the lodge!!!!!
I didn't get any pictures of Hannah swimming because most of the time she was off by herself going down the big slides. I went down a few times with her, but at one point after a lifeguard switch she was told she was too short!!!!
Whitney and William

Along with swimming, we played BINGO one night----we played over the summer in Okoboji and Hannah has been wanting to play ever since.

Life is Good when you take mini vacations!!!
