On Monday, we headed to one of our favorite places...Okoboji. We lived there before Hannah was born while Justin worked for Pioneer and Elanco and I taught 4th grade. Justin' family would vacation there every summer when he was growing up, and we have been going as a large group for the last few years. Time at the Iowa Great Lakes is much different with 8 kids in tow than as a newly wed couple....it's actually more fun now!!!!
We did a boat/car swap with Justin's parents for the summer....We are using their car with a third row and they can take out boat out whenever they want this summer.
Monday was the first time Justin got to drive his boat since last season!!!!
His passengers were a 6 girl cousins and 2 boys cousins.
Whitney had her first tubing experience......
......So did Cousin William!
Hannah loves to go fast and has NO FEAR!
We have a few too many people in our crew to all fit on our boat, so Justin's parents brought theirs up too.
The last few years, we have stayed at Bridges Bay. This year we stayed at Crescent Beach and had two adjoining condos....Total we had two kitchenettes, two living areas, 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms....In the evenings the kids had one living area and the adults had another....It was a great set up for 4 families.
Life is Good with trips to Okoboji!
