Bali Safari and Marine Park

When we go on all of our Asian Adventures the number one thing the girls want to do is swim.  Even with a pool in our yard, they wake up everyday wanted to go to the hotel pool.  For our second day, we  were able to talk them into visiting then Bali Safari and Marine Park.  I am so glad we went because it was a day filled with fun animal experiences.

We were greeted by Balinese dancers and music.

We were walking up to the animal education show with just a few minutes to spare and we thought we would be stuck in the back.  Luckily, we bought the Rhino package tickets so we had preferred seating…..We didn't know the good seating was part of the deal!

Then, it was off to the elephant bath.

The elephant "show" was more of a skit involving elephants and actors to show how people have hurt the Sumatran elephant population with hunting and taking over their forests.

The Sumatran Elephant is smaller than than the African Elephant.
It only has one finger on it's trunk.
Only the  males have long white tusks.
Their ears are much smaller.
Next, it was lunch with the LIONS!!!!  We had a great table where we could see 2 males and one female.

The Rhino pass had another nice perk---an air conditioned, leather seated safari bus.
We were able to get really close to the animals along the open safari path.

We had a few vouchers for pictures with animals, so we visited this friend a few times during the day.

At 2:30 we took a break from the outdoors and went to the Bali Agung show.  It had live animals and traditional Bali costumes and music.
Macy took a long nap during the show, but Whitney only took about a 20 minute cat nap.  She was a bit tired during our 3:45pm elephant ride!

It was a fun day at the park.  We left about 5:00 and didn't even see all of it.  We missed all the amusement park rides and water park.

Life is Good with fun days with animals.
