8 Makes a Full House

Living in KL we have had many opportunities to travel and experience things we wouldn't have living in the US.  This week, we had the chance to be a host family for 2 high school students from the Manila International School in the Philippines.  The "teenagers" (Macy's term for them) were in town for a music convention held at the high school campus of girls' school.
We didn't get to see them very much because they were so busy with planned rehearsals.  They would get back to our house after 8:30 and leave again at 6:55.  Hannah enjoyed having a 2nd dinner with them every night and chatting with them!
Last night, we went to the performance….it included piano, choir, orchestra(our friends played the violin and cello) and band.  Hannah and Kaylee really enjoyed the music.  Whitney and Macy were a little wiggly so they did some walking around with Daddy!!!!  Afterward, we took them to one of our favorite restaurants, Suzi's Corner.  We all enjoyed the steaks and naan bread!

This morning we said good bye to them…..in our jammies and with bed head!!!
It was great having them here, and I hope we get the chance to host again.  Having high schoolers around is a lot different than the 8 and under crowd.  The dinner conversation took a very different direction than our usual topics.

Life is Good with House Guests!
