Grandma and Grandpa Came to Asia

On Monday, March 16 Justin's parents arrived in KL(24 hours after they were supposed to due to travel delays).
They arrived while the girls were at school so they had an easy morning at home to adjust to the time.
Their first big event was going to the girls' school for Hannah's Girl Scout meeting….Then, it was home for some fun in the pool!

Hannah loves swimming races in our pool because she can usually win!!!

They hadn't seen Hannah or Whitney since August.  Whitney has changed A LOT since then!

 TUESDAY
8:30: Read in Kaylee's Class
9:30: Visit to the Batu Caves

The monkeys were in high numbers that morning and they were stealing food too!
At noon we picked up Macy from school and headed to the Genting Highlands for the cable car ride.
I forgot my camera…..so these are from the Internet.

It rained right before we got on the ride, so it looked a lot like the first picture.  There were times we couldn't see the car in front of us!  I love that we live in an area where you can be in the big city and in less than an hour you are in the thick jungle.
WEDNESDAY
Justin took his parent to the wet market in the morning.  Whitney played hooky so she could go to the zoo with G and G by herself!
She was begging for a nap once we picked up Macy so she headed home for a nap and we went to lunch at a steamboat restaurant.

You choose the ingredients to cook in the broth to customize your soup.

Then, it was off to the Royal Selangor factory to see how pewter products are made.
Making their own bowls in the "School of Hard Knocks."
THURSDAY
Chinatown tour--Our tour guide showed us a few local Chinese markets and shops.
We went to a temple and ate at nearby restaurant for lunch.
FRIDAY
We spent a lot of time at the girls' school
9:15  Cook with Macy's class….We made turtles using tortillas and fruits for the letter T.
Saw Hannah and Kaylee at recess
10:00  Listened to Hannah's class give author presentations
2:10  Went to "Free Choice" in Kaylee's class
Then, it was off to the airport for a few days in Vietnam…..
I think Whitney was trying to grab my phone from me in this pic!

Life is Good with visitors!!!
