A Horse of Course

Our good friends, the Hills, recently moved "way far away" according to Macy.  It is actually just about 30 minutes.  Good thing it isn't too much farther because we need our weekly time with the Hills!!!!  Now we will just need to plan ahead a little more and not schedule 4:00 playdates at 3:45.

Last night, we went to check out the new place and it was a lot of fun.

First, we stopped by Erin's parents' place to check out the horses and cattle.

Nate showed the girls how it was done.

Waiting and still wanting to ride!!!

Wasn't sure Kaylee would do it, but she was all smiles the whole time!!!!!

This is as far as Macy got, but at least she got on it!!!

Little Mommy Evy took good care of Whit Whit

 Even I took a turn..........

Once the horse was bathed and fed it was time to sort some cattle.  A calf had a hurt foot so the kids watched while Justin helped pull out the right cow and calf.  He loved helping out.

The kids played outside all night, we had a great dinner, ate S'mores by the fire and ended the night with a quick shower for the kiddos and headed home.  Justin thought we should just leave a set of jammies and clothes for everyone at their place.  Maybe by the end of the summer we will have a tent set up and be paying rent for some land!!!

Life is Good when you spend an evening on the farm....especially with fun friends!!!!

  1. Sneak is so photogenic! Evy kept asking this morning "Where my yellow chair? The Chesnut's take my little chair! I play KK?? I play Macy??" I think she expected you all to still be out in the yard when she woke up!
