NYC and Canada

To celebrate our 10 year anniversary(July 27th) we went to NYC and a on a Canadian cruise with our neighbors from Omaha, who were also celebrating 10 years(August 3rd).

Once we dropped off our bags at the hotel we headed for a ride on the subway!!

Justin wanted to get a watch in Chinatown.  Instead of a purse this trip I went with a hat and sunglasses!!!

Saturday, our big adventure was a Yankee's game.
Before the game we found a great bar(The Dugout) that sold $4 tall boys.
Justin has been wanting a new wallet--his chicken leather(yeah poultry) one he got in Mexico a few years ago has seen better days!!

A-Rod was not playing, but Derek Jeter was.
After the game, we headed back to the Dugout and met some locals celebrating a bachelor party.

Sunday, we boarded the boat and headed out of NYC.

After a relaxing day at sea, we got to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We took a tour of Peggy's Cove while we were there.  It was rainy and overcast, but still beautiful.

The boys found WiFi while the girls shopped.

Lobster lunch---I am not a huge meat on the bone fan, but for some reason I was able to tear the lobster apart and eat it.  I maybe made a few faces, but it was yummy.

Disney lets you bring your own alcohol on the ship, so we became good friends with our big Barefoot Bar Tervis Tumblers!!!

 Saint John, New Brunswick
This is paper mill by the reversing rapids on the Bay of Fundy.
Depending on the tide(low or high) the water goes in or out and then switches.
 City Market
Disney Dream---Yes, we went on a Disney cruise without our kids!!!!  We went on one for our honeymoon and then last year with the girls.  We love the service and cleanliness.  We also wanted to go our of NYC and head north the first week of August and there weren't too many ships doing that.  We hope to take the girls sometime soon again.

 Pirate Night with fireworks
Greeting the Princesses---the great thing about the cruise was you can see characters if you want to, but it isn't in your face.  There is also an adult only area with a bar and pool.  We were at the 8:15 dinner service so most little kids went earlier.
 The Avengers in 3-D
It was a great week and I would highly recommend a Disney cruise with or without kids!!!

Life is Good with great friends you can vacation with!!!

Thanks to both sets of grandparents for watching the girls for us--it was so nice to get away and know they were taken care of and having fun!!!
