Chinatown

Took a quick trip to Chinatown today with a few friends.
Luckily, one of them really knew her way around and was able to be our guide for the day!!!

The first stop was the Central Market.
If you need a gift for someone or something to remember your time in Malaysia this is the place to get it!

There are many shops with gifts and little handmade goodies.
You can also stop and have the little fishies nibble the nasties off your feet.
The ladies and I weren't going to try it, but these 2 guys didn't seem to mind it!

I picked up a scarf, a few sarongs to take to the beach and this bracelet.
Hopefully, the different crystals it has will bring me good fortune.

Next, we did some walking and found a few fabric stores, stands to buy knock offs and a few religious buildings.

Chinese Temple

 Hindu Temple

For lunch we stopped at the Lee Rubber Building and went to a bright colored paradise......
 .............the Peter Hoe store.

I wanted to buy one of everything in the store.  It has great home decor items with fun fabrics and colors.
They also have really good food.  I got the Vietnamese Chicken salad, a Coke Light and a slice of strawberry cheesecake.....May go back just for the food.---but will probably shop too!

Last stop was for some flowers.  I was too overwhelmed by the selection and lack of a vase at home.
Next time, I will for sure bring some home.

Life is Good with day trips with friends!
