Fun First Day

No, I didn't skip to the end of our day for a picture of dinner....We were at breakfast a little before 7, so it was still dark outside.  The 2 Biggest never really went back to bed so we were up and ready pretty early today.  With our extended stay we get a free breakfast buffet at the restaurant next door.  The girls were starving and they had pretty good food...good thing since we will be eating there for about 2 more weeks!  The only thing on the buffet no one wanted to try was curry sardines!!!!

Ready for a fun day.....These are the clothes the Bigs put on yesterday before wanting to swim.  They slept in them and decided to wear them again.

On our walk this morning we missed level sidewalks and monitored cross walks.  Pedestrians having the right away isn't followed too much here.  Cars drive on the left side of the road so it was a little confusing for which direction we should be looking.

First stop was the park at the base of the Petronas towers.

Can't wait to use the wading pool another day--it wasn't open yet today since we were there before 10.

When it got sunny the girls FINALLY got to swim and they loved every minute of it!!!!

Now I am so glad I packed all the snacks.  Shortly after we started swimming, snacks were needed!!!
Whitney tried floaties for the first time.
The views from the infinity pool were awesome.  I had a little "Crazy Mommy" moment when the Bigs tried standing on the edge.  They have been informed if they try that again they will not be swimming for awhile!

After lunch at Kentucky Fried Chicken, we headed to the grocery store.
With all the fish it really didn't smell bad at all.

We took a quick stroll through the first floor of the shopping center.
Whitney loved waving at everyone and we were greeted with many smiles.

Life is Good when trying to act like a local.

  1. Yay!! You made it! So glad you survived the travels. Jet lag is such a messy thing--I think the best way we dealt with it was keeping the kids very active during the day. I love the views from the pool with the towers in the background--that's pretty amazing. Surviving a trip to the grocery with everyone in tow is an accomplishment enough in the States--look at you rocking it in KL! Our best to you as you get through these foggy days and acclimate to your new home.
